About
Grounding in Recovery
Mobile sound healing and wellness sessions for recovery communities — created by someone who understands the recovery environment from the inside.
The Story
Why Grounding in Recovery Exists
Grounding in Recovery was created out of a simple belief: that every person in recovery deserves access to moments of stillness, peace, and genuine care — not just clinical treatment, but experiences that nourish the whole person.
Kathleen has worked directly with individuals in substance use disorder treatment. That work made one thing clear: the people in recovery programs are doing some of the hardest, most courageous work of their lives. They deserve wellness experiences that meet them where they are — not generic programming, but something designed specifically for this environment.
Grounding in Recovery was built to fill that gap. Sound bath sessions are designed from the ground up for recovery communities — accessible, inclusive, and facilitated with the kind of care that only comes from genuine understanding.

Meet Kathleen
Founder & Facilitator
Kathleen is the founder and facilitator of Grounding in Recovery. As a certified Peer Support Specialist, she brings direct experience supporting individuals in substance use disorder treatment in the Antelope Valley.
Her background in peer support shapes every aspect of how sessions are designed and facilitated. She understands the recovery environment — the rhythms of a treatment facility, the courage it takes to show up, and the importance of creating a space that feels genuinely safe and welcoming.
Kathleen brings crystal singing bowls, guided meditation, and compassionate facilitation directly to treatment facilities and residential recovery programs. Her approach is grounded in presence, professionalism, and a deep respect for every person in the room.
Mission
Moments of Stillness for Every Person in Recovery
To bring accessible, compassionate wellness experiences into recovery environments — offering moments of stillness, presence, and peace to individuals doing the courageous work of healing.
Accessibility
Wellness experiences should be available to everyone in recovery, regardless of background, belief system, or prior experience. Sessions are designed to be welcoming and inclusive by default.
Compassion
Every session is facilitated with genuine care for the individuals in the room. Compassion is not a technique — it is the foundation of everything Grounding in Recovery does.
Respect for the Recovery Environment
Recovery programs are built on structure and trust. Grounding in Recovery is designed to complement that structure — never to disrupt it or compete with clinical care.
Presence
The goal of every session is simple: to create a space where participants can pause, breathe, and be present. That is enough. That matters.
My Approach
Show Up. Be Present. Care Genuinely.
My approach to facilitation is simple: show up with presence, compassion, and respect for every person in the room. I do not bring an agenda beyond that. I am not here to fix anyone or to offer clinical guidance. I am here to create a space where people can rest.
Sound bath sessions are designed to feel safe and accessible — regardless of background, belief system, or prior experience with wellness practices. There is nothing to believe in, nothing to perform, and no right or wrong way to experience the session. Participants are simply invited to rest, breathe, and be present.
I bring this work into recovery environments because I believe that moments of stillness and peace matter — and that every person in recovery deserves access to them.
— Kathleen, Grounding in Recovery
An Important Note
Sound bath sessions offered by Grounding in Recovery are complementary wellness experiences. They are not therapy, psychotherapy, or medical treatment, and are not a substitute for clinical care. Sessions are designed to complement existing recovery programming.
